Property Group, LLC is a highly specialized commercial real
estate firm based in Asheville, North Carolina that provides
comprehensive brokerage services to local, regional and national
clients.
Jeremy
H. Goldstein founded the firm as J. Harlan Properties in January
1999. In order to ensure that existing and future clients
continued to receive the exceptional service and representation
they had come to rely on, Mr. Goldstein sought a business
partner that would compliment his own background and strengthen
the company. In April 2001, John R. Menkes joined Mr. Goldstein,
and together they restructured J. Harlan Properties to become
G/M Property Group.

Under
the guidance of G/M Property Group's two principals, the firm
aims to exceed the level of commercial real estate representation
available primarily in major U.S. metropolitan areas. G/M

Principals
Jeremy
H. Goldstein is one of G/M Property Group's
two managing partners. After relocating to Asheville
in January 1999, Mr. Goldstein founded J. Harlan Properties.
His commercial real estate career began in Washington,
DC in the Investment Services Group of Barnes, Morris,
Pardoe & Foster - one of DC
Metro's most prestigious commercial real estate brokerage
firms. In 1997, Barnes, Morris merged with Insignia/ESG -
which has since merged with CB Richard Ellis - a global
commercial real estate provider.
While
in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, Mr. Goldstein advised
private and institutional investors nationwide in the acquisition,
disposition, and financing of predominantly retail and
office properties. His commercial brokerage training and
background includes strategic planning, detailed financial
and market analysis, portfolio valuation, and development
of overall marketing strategies. Mr. Goldstein was responsible
for day-to-day client communication, direction of the sales
process, and contract negotiation. His retail sales experience
is extensive, and he has participated in the sale of over
30 strip shopping centers totaling more than $280 million.
Mr. Goldstein further diversified his business practice
by working as a landlord representation leasing specialist
and consultant for owners of various commercial product
types. Since 1994, Mr. Goldstein has executed more than
$425 million in sales, leasing and financing transactions
and has underwritten well over $2 billion of commercial property.
Mr.
Goldstein graduated cum laude from Duke University in 1994
with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy Studies. He
holds inactive real estate salesperson licences in Virginia,
Maryland and the District of Columbia and an active broker
license in North Carolina.

John
R. Menkes is
one of G/M Property Group's two managing partners. After relocating
to Asheville in 1999, Mr. Menkes focused exclusively on investment
sales, leasing and property management while at a local commercial
brokerage firm. In April 2001 he joined Mr. Goldstein, and
together they restructured J. Harlan Properties to become
G/M Property Group. Originally from Montreal, Canada, Mr.
Menkes began his career in finance, working for the Toronto-Dominion
Bank in Toronto and later the Louis Dreyfus Group in Paris.
Prior to moving to Asheville, he lived in New York City for
eight years working in commercial real estate.
His
experience included handling all real estate research functions
for Baring Advisors, a national pension fund advisor with
clients such as Rolls Royce, British Shell and CalPERS. He
later joined the Louis Dreyfus Property Group, a privately
held, international company that purchased, developed and
managed over 3.5 million square feet of commercial real estate.
As vice president of acquisitions, he was responsible for
identifying and underwriting investment opportunities throughout
the United States. He was also an integral part of the asset
management team, providing analytical support in areas such
as budget projections, market research, dispositions and leasing.
Mr. Menkes was involved in the acquisition, development and
leasing of approximately $240 million of commercial property
and underwrote well over $2 billion of national investments.
Mr.
Menkes graduated from the University of Western Ontario in
1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. In 1993,
he received a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York
University, graduating with distinction. He holds an active
broker license in North Carolina and was elected as the 2002
president of the Asheville Commercial Investment Realty Association.
